Simi and Haze Khadra, the globally recognized DJ duo, made a seamless transition into the beauty industry with the launch of SimiHaze Beauty in 2021. Known for their high-energy performances and sleek street-style aesthetic, the twins founded the brand with a clear mission: to create high-performance makeup that aligns with their fast-paced, on-the-go lifestyles, all while maintaining comfort.
Having lived in various cities around the world, they gained a unique insight into the challenges of finding beauty products that could keep up with their busy routines. SimiHaze Beauty was born from this experience. Focus on clean ingredients, intuitive formulas, and minimalist designs with playful pops of colour. Each product is always formulated with thoughtful ingredients like plant-based squalane, rosehip oil, and shea butter.
The Spark
SimiHaze Beauty’s breakthrough came with the Eye Play Dance Pack stickers. Designed for quick, bold eye makeup that matched their hectic DJ lifestyle, these stickers became an instant favourite, particularly in club and rave scenes where striking makeup is essential. The twins’ creative yet practical approach to beauty resonated with those who sought fun, efficient style without the hassle.
After that hit, they were on a roll. Introducing the Velvet Blur Lipstick Balm—a matte formula with a surprisingly hydrating feel. Also the Hydra Melt Dewy Skin Balm, the Cheek Pigment, and Beauty Sun Flush. The minimalist design, featuring matte tones and rounded edges, gives these products a modern, sleek, and playful look. And, of course, the magnetic, pocket-sized lip balms offer the perfect mix of style and practicality. And that word is often used in the Dutch society.
The philosophy of SimiHaze Beauty is “minimal optimal” beauty—maximizing impact with minimal effort—guides everything they create, making beauty simple yet stylish. Right now, I’m hooked on the Velvet Blur Matte Lip Balm, and with mini versions available, it’s perfect for those on-the-go moments. In the coming months, they will launch the Color Glaze Lip and Cheek Pigment, which will offer six vibrant shades, adding even more versatility to their already impressive collection.
