The French Maison Hermès, known for its heritage in leather and silk, ventured into the world of beauty in 2020. Launching with Rouge Hermès, a carefully curated collection of lipsticks, the brand quickly established itself as a beacon of understated luxury in the beauty world. This move into cosmetics was a natural extension of Hermès’ tradition of creating refined, timeless pieces. Since then, the collection has expanded to include Rose Hermès and Les Mains Hermès, each bringing the same level of artistry and care that Hermès is known for.
For Spring-Summer 2025, Hermès Beauty introduces the limited-edition Silky Lipstick Shine—boxed, naturally, in the maison’s signature orange. The texture is luminous, and the finish is sheer and radiant—just right for the season. Developed by Gregoris Pyrpylis, the creative director of Hermès Beauty, the shades bring a fresh, modern glow to the lips. Known for his intuitive, skin-led approach to makeup, Pyrpylis injects a subtle new energy into the line, featuring a curated colour palette. “These lipsticks are a companion, a partner for every occasion,” says Pyrpylis.
Pure comfort for your lips
The formula has a silky, buildable texture. Made with up to 85% natural-origin ingredients, it cares as much as it colours. Abyssinian oil and raspberry leaf extract protect and soften, while a balanced blend of arnica, sandalwood, and angelica gives the lipstick a delicate, calming scent. “The texture is both light and enveloping. A tender lipstick – the kind you can apply without a mirror, from morning to night,” says Pyrpylis. Which is perfect for me, because sometimes you just don’t have a mirror in reach. These new lipsticks have a hybrid formula. The texture is inspired by silk twill, a material very dear to Hermès, reinterpreting the velvety caress of the legendary fabric used for the house’s iconic scarves. It also borrows the transparency and suppleness of silk chiffon.
The Case: an art piece
Let’s talk about the lipstick case. It’s a true statement object. Designed by the renowned Pierre Hardy, it blends metallic lavender and orange into a form that feels more like art than packaging. Hardy, known for his colourful shoe and bag collections, now brings his visionary touch to Hermès Beauty. Multifaceted, because he is also the creative director of Hermès’ fine jewellery and haute bijouterie collections. His expertise in combining design and detail shines through. These luxury lipsticks seamlessly embody the essence of the Hermès universe.
The limited-edition collection is now available in stores and online at hermes.com.
