In Focus: Pelegrims

Pelegrims

Inspired by the ancient Pilgrims’ Way across the Kent countryside, Pelegrims honours the art of slow living – with deep respect for nature, rhythm, and tradition. Its refillable packaging mirrors this philosophy: earthy green tones, like vintage wine bottles, grounding the brand in story and style.

Pelegrims is a British skincare brand bottling the power of grapes – quite literally. Created by natural formulator Alex Verier and sommelier-trained Jérôme Moisan, the collection is small but precise: a facial oil, facial balm, hand pomade, grape leaf sheet mask, facial treatment, lip balm, bath salts, and hand cream.

The ingredients are sourced from Westwell Wines, a small family-run estate winery in the South East of England. Selected vineyards across Europe, including Sicily and Sardinia, also supply grape skins, seeds, and leaves, all repurposed from the winemaking process. By working closely with their vineyard partners, they ensure traceability from seed to bottle, minimising the carbon footprint at every step. Their lab, located just a short distance from Westwell, allows them to oversee each stage of production – from the first extract samples kept in temperature-controlled rooms to the final bottled formulations.

Working closely with their partners also means assessing every supplier for ethical and responsible practices, ensuring that by the time an ingredient enters a product, it has made a positive impact along its journey. Where possible, they use organic or Soil Association-approved oils and extracts, blending natural materials with carefully selected engineered ingredients to enhance performance without compromising purity. Each formula is concentrated and focused on specific skin needs, limiting allergens and prioritising efficacy. All products are made in small batches, following B Corp standards and a low-intervention, sustainable approach.

My favourite?
